ºìÐÓÊÓƵ Eligibility

Eligible candidates

ºìÐÓÊÓƵ is only available to a candidate who is undertaking or has completed the final year of secondary school, or higher.

For example, candidates registering for ºìÐÓÊÓƵ 2025 should have completed, or plan to complete their final year of secondary schooling in 2025, (Year 12 in Australia; Year 13 in New Zealand).

Students in Australian Year 11 or New Zealand Year 12 are NOT eligible to sit the test.

Candidates are eligible to sit ºìÐÓÊÓƵ if they have commenced or completed an undergraduate degree.ÌýIt is noted, however, thatÌýnot all undergraduate degree programs for which ºìÐÓÊÓƵ is a prerequisite will offer places for non-school leavers. Candidates are advised to check the ºìÐÓÊÓƵ Consortium university websites for further information. Information on GAMSAT and graduate-entry medical and dental courses is available at the .

Candidates can only sitÌýºìÐÓÊÓƵ once in any test cycle.ÌýInstances of multiple testing in the same year is treatedÌýasÌýcandidate misconductÌýand all results will be cancelled.Ìý

International Candidates

AÌýlimited number of ºìÐÓÊÓƵ Consortium universities require international students to sit ºìÐÓÊÓƵ. Candidates are advised to check the ºìÐÓÊÓƵ Consortium university websites for further information.

International candidates registering for ºìÐÓÊÓƵ 2025 should haveÌýcompleted, or plan to complete their final year of secondary schooling in 2025.Ìý

Candidates applying to both ºìÐÓÊÓƵ Consortium universitiesÌýand UK Consortium or UK Partner universities

Candidates intending to apply toÌýAustralian/New Zealand Consortium universitiesÌýandÌýÌý(for 2026 entry) should sit the ºìÐÓÊÓƵ 2025 for the following reasons:ÌýÌý

• Australian and New Zealand admissionsÌýdeadlines are earlier than in the UK.
• Australian/New Zealand universities only accept ºìÐÓÊÓƵ results.Ìý

Candidates are notÌýpermitted toÌýsit the ºìÐÓÊÓƵ and the UCATÌý(UK) in the same year under any circumstances (i.e. ºìÐÓÊÓƵ 2025 and UCAT UK 2025). This is considered candidate misconductÌýand all results may be cancelled.Ìý

ºìÐÓÊÓƵ 2025 results areÌývalid for the 2025 university admissions cycle ONLY (for entry to university in 2026).Ìý

Candidates who areÌýNOTÌýeligible to sit ºìÐÓÊÓƵ

• Australian Year 11 students or lower are not eligible to sit the ºìÐÓÊÓƵ.ÌýThis includes Year 11 students undertaking one or more Year 12 subjects. Year 12 students completing Year 12 over two years are only eligible to sit the ºìÐÓÊÓƵ in their final year.Ìý
• New Zealand Year 12 students or lower are not eligible to sit the test.
• Any person having an affiliation with a UCAT coaching business, for example, as a tutor, as an item developer, or having some financial interest in a UCAT coaching business is not eligible to sit the ºìÐÓÊÓƵ.
